Job summary

Sagent Behavioral Health is hiring a Front Office Registration specialist for our Rochester, MN campus. This onsite, full-time role supports patient intake, insurance verification, scheduling, and referral inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

Working hours are Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with a non-exempt status and hourly compensation of $16.50. The position emphasizes accurate data capture, patient service, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure smooth visits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in health care facilities is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive first impression for patients by guiding them through intake with professionalism and empathy.
• Act as the point of contact for referrals and inquiries, educating on services, intake procedures and scheduling.
• Register new patients by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information.
• Answer inbound and make outbound calls, triaging inquiries with accurate information.
• Process referrals and communicate scheduling outcomes; collaborate with clinical staff on patient needs.
• Maintain awareness of trends and needs for new services; assist with scheduling and crises as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a positive first impression for patients and referents by guiding them through the intake process with professionalism and empathy.
• Act as the point of contact for all intra-office referrals and inquiries by providing education on all services, intake procedures, and scheduling appointments.
• Register new patients by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information.
• Answer inbound and make outbound phone calls while responding to inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner, providing accurate information or triaging as appropriate.
• Process internal and external referrals and communicate scheduling outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical staff regarding patient care issues and scheduling.
• Maintain awareness in trends, patterns, and needs for new services.
• Handle patient concerns and crises with empathy and patience and collaborate with site leadership to resolve as needed.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in health care facilities and an interest in behavioral health is strongly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position. Total earnings for this position is $16.50/hr

• Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as education, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location.
• Employees in these positions are W2.
