Job summary

Central Jersey College Prep Charter School in Somerset, New Jersey seeks a Front Desk Representative to welcome visitors, route calls, assist parents with schedules and events, monitor the main entrance, and maintain campus security.

You will be a central communications hub, coordinate with staff, and support daily attendance and records while following district policies and OSHA standards. NJ-based work authorization and a high school diploma are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the main entrance, verify identification, and issue visitor badges to maintain campus security.
• Assist in coordinating school safety drills and act as a central communication hub during emergencies.
• Follow all Board policies and OSHA standards as outlined in the School Employee Handbook.
• Manage daily student attendance, late sign ins, and early dismissal.
• Handle student record requests and maintain organized filing systems for administrative documents.
• Monitor office supply levels and coordinate with the Director of Operations for ordering as needed.
• Communicate responsibly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership.

Responsibilities Include

• Provide a warm, professional welcome to all visitors, ensuring they are properly signed in accordance with district safety protocols
• Direct incoming calls to the appropriate departments and take detailed messages for staff and administration.
• Serve as a resource for parents regarding school schedules, events, and general inquiries.
• Monitor the main entrance, verify identification, and issue visitor badges to maintain a secure campus
• Assist in coordinating school safety drills and serve as a central communication hub during emergency situations
• Follow all Board policies and OSHA standards as outlined in the School Employee Handbook
• Manage daily student attendance, late sign ins, and early dismissal
• Handle student record requests and maintain organized filing systems for administrative documents
• Monitor office supply levels and coordinate with the Director of Operations for ordering as needed.
• Communicates responsibly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership;
• Accounts for student attendance and punctuality;
• Follows all county, state, and federal policies and procedures;
• Follows professional ethics in all work-related activities;

Additional Responsibilities
