Job summary

Care First Rehab in Cary, NC is seeking a Front Office / Patient Services Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients. This full-time, in-person role supports the clinical team by delivering excellent service in a dynamic healthcare environment.

You will verify insurance, assist with scheduling, collect copays, and help families understand coverage. Strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, WebPT) are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative support and medical office scheduling.
• Ability to work until 6 PM Monday–Thursday and 8 AM–5 PM on Fridays.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, WebPT).
• Proficient computer skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for new and returning patients.
• Collaborate with the billing department for insurance verification, authorizations, and billing coordination.
• Work with the home care scheduler to manage appointments.
• Educate patients and families on insurance coverage and the scheduling process.
• Collect copays and discuss financial arrangements with patients/families.
• Support therapists with patient-related tasks as needed.
• Oversee daily front office operations and administrative duties.

Job Type: Full-Time | Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Front Office / Patient Services Specialist to join our team in Cary, NC. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will support our clinical team by delivering excellent service in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is a full-time, in-person position.
