Job description

We are hiring a Front Office Manager!

The Guest Services Manager/Front Office Manager is responsible for the success of the front desk, ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met. They manage all hotel areas according to Brand standards to create a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality. The manager displays exemplary performance for staff to follow.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain guest service as the hotel's core philosophy.
  2. Commit to making every guest satisfied.
  3. Ensure all hotel staff, including new hires, are trained in guest service components and standards.
  4. Develop added-value customer service programs.
  5. Empower staff to deliver guest service by encouraging and rewarding responsive assistance.
  6. Act as manager on duty and oversee front desk operations.
  7. Train front desk staff in all procedures, including check-in/check-out, telephone, amenities, and computer systems.
  8. Participate in Revenue Management functions and conference calls with Corporate Management and brand revenue centers.
  9. Produce accurate financial reports on time.
  10. Collaborate with the General Manager and Sales Manager/DOS to generate new business ideas, set up rate codes, and manage rooming lists.
  11. Manage HR functions such as recruiting, training, performance evaluation, and reward programs to maintain a qualified workforce.
  12. Ensure all employees understand hotel objectives.
  13. Maintain accurate personnel files compliant with laws and regulations.
  14. Administer personnel policies fairly and consistently.
  15. Resolve employee grievances promptly and fairly.
  16. Mentor direct reports to develop management talent.
  17. Monitor and maintain acceptable staff turnover levels.
  18. Know and comply with local health and safety codes.
  19. Follow policies for the hotel’s key control system.
  20. Manage preventive maintenance and deep-cleaning activities to maintain physical standards.
  21. Conduct property quality audits periodically.
  22. Inspect rooms, exterior, parking lot, and other areas as needed.
