Description

We are hiring a Front Office Manager! FT $53,000 a year.

The Guest Services Manager/Front Office Manager is responsible for the success of the front desk, ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met, and managing all areas of the hotel according to Brand standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality. Displays exemplary performance for staff to follow.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel.
  2. Is committed to making every guest satisfied.
  3. Ensures all hotel staff, including new hires, know all components of guest services and are trained to meet standards.
  4. Develops added value customer service programs.
  5. Empowers hotel staff to deliver guest service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance.
  6. Acts as manager on duty for hotel and manages front desk operations.
  7. Ensures front desk staff is trained in all front desk operations, including check-in/check-out procedures, telephone procedures, hotel amenities, and computer systems.
  8. Leads and assists in Revenue Management functions as requested. Participates in conference calls with Corporate Management and brand revenue management centers.
  9. Produces accurate financial reports on time.
  10. Works with the General Manager and Sales Manager / DOS to generate new business ideas to increase sales, set up rate codes, and input rooming lists.
  11. Manages human resources functions, including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, performance planning and evaluation, pay, and reward programs to maintain a qualified front desk workforce.
  12. Ensures all hotel employees are aware of hotel objectives.
  13. Maintains accurate personnel files in compliance with local and federal laws.
  14. Administers personnel policies fairly and consistently.
  15. Resolves employee grievances in a timely manner.
  16. Acts as a mentor for direct reports to develop management talent.
  17. Monitors and maintains acceptable turnover levels.
  18. Knows and complies with local health and safety codes and regulations applicable to the hotel.
  19. Follows policies and procedures for the hotel’s key control system and ensures others do the same.
  20. Maintains physical product standards through preventive maintenance and scheduled deep-cleaning activities.
  21. Ensures property quality audits are acceptable.
  22. Periodically inspects rooms, building exterior, parking lot, etc.
