Job summary

Community Dental Partners is seeking an Insurance Coordinator to verify coverage, assist patients, and support the front desk in a fast-paced dental office in Beaumont. You will greet patients, collect documents, scan records, and update patient status as needed.

The role requires administrative experience, comfort with insurance processes, and strong communication. A High School diploma is expected, with opportunities for career growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients upon arrival.
  • Collect paperwork and insurance information from patients and scan documents.
  • Update patient status in the system according to guidelines.
  • Handle routine questions over the phone about appointments, policies, insurance, and treatments; update notes accordingly.
  • Verify insurance and frequencies when needed.
  • Review schedules to ensure appointments are due before confirming them.
  • Confirm patients following the established protocol; reappoint as needed.
  • Maintain front office area/lobby.
  • Collect fees per patient’s insurance or visit.
  • Assist the office manager in creating claims.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Insurance Coordinator

Reports to: Practice Manager
Key Partnership: Clinical, Billing, and Operations
Department: Operations
Salary: $15-16/hr (based on experience on admin field)
Classification: Non-Exempt
Status: Full Time

About this role: Community Dental Partners is looking for someone who loves being around people. The Insurance Coordinator is someone that has the opportunity to bring a smile to the patient(s), to be able to give them a wonderful patient experience. The Insurance Coordiantor is primarily responsible for insurance verification. The Insurance Coordinator is able to support the patient, staff, and doctors in many different ways. If you like to make connections with people this is the right position for you!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients upon arrival
  • Collect paperwork and insurance information directly from patients and scan all documents.
  • Change and update patient status in the computer according to established guidelines.
  • Handle routine questions over the phone concerning appointments, policies, insurance, and treatments. Update the notes in the system to reflect any changes made
  • Verifying insurance and frequencies when needed.
  • Review the schedule in advance to ensure appointments and patients are due before confirming them.
  • Confirm patients following the established confirmation protocol. Can reappoint examination appointments, refers other appointments to the proper person for reappointment if necessary
  • Clean/maintain front office area/lobby
  • Collect fees per patient’s insurance or visit.
  • In this role, you will help the office manager create claims.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Administrative experience is required
  • Experience working with insurance is preferred
  • Dental Experience is not required but experience in another administrative or insurance-related setting is acceptable.
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service is a plus
  • Multitasking and prioritizing
