We are looking for a Front Desk Agent to be the first point of contact for our guests and manage all aspects of their stay. The Front Desk Agent's responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information on rooms, rates and services. If you have a talent for customer service and experience working in the hotel industry, we would love to meet you and offer you the opportunity to help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.
The main functions of the Front Desk Agent include:- Perform all check-in and check-out activities
- Manage online and telephone bookings
- Informing guests about payment methods and verifying their credit card details
- Registering guests by collecting the necessary information (such as contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Greet guests upon arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and services
- Respond to customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure that all rooms are clean, tidy and fully furnished to meet guests' needs
- Upselling of additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Maintaining up-to-date booking and payment records
Characteristics sought:- Experience working as a hotel front desk clerk, receptionist or similar role
- Experience with hotel reservation software, such as Opera is a must
- Customer service aptitude
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
