Job summary

Hyatt Place Madison/Downtown is seeking a Front Desk Agent (Hotel Host) to deliver outstanding guest experiences. You will manage guest check-in/check-out, assist in the Bakery Café, and support meeting room services with a friendly, attentive approach.

Flexibility to work AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays is required. Previous guest service experience is preferred, and candidates must be 18+ with strong English communication and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must have schedule flexibility for AM/PM shifts and weekends/holidays.
• Requires strong command of the English language (speaking, reading, writing).
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Desire to satisfy guests’ needs in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift, pull and push up to 20 lbs.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).

Front Desk Agents (Hotel Host) contribute to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. The Hotel Host creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment. This position is responsible for the complete guest experience; to include the Hotel Host Stand, the Bakery Café, the Guest Kitchen, the e‑room and the TV den, guest check in and out and the servicing of the meeting rooms. Previous guest service experience as well as the ability to communicate well with guests required.

The shift for this position will vary based on business needs. Must be flexible to work AM/PM shifts and must be available to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) as well.
