Overview
Come join the award-winning King's Pointe Resort's team as a Front of the House Restaurant Supervisor at the Regatta! We offer a hearty, American-style menu and a gorgeous view of Storm Lake. Our kitchen crafts weekly specials, happy hour cocktails, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ideal candidates will have prior food and beverage experience, leadership or supervisory experience, ability to train teams and ensure guest expectations are met with proper service steps. Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
Responsibilities
- Guest Engagement – conduct table touches to ensure guests are having an enjoyable and memorable dining experience and address any concerns in a timely manner.
- Team Leadership – train, mentor, and guide FOH team members to maintain high service standards in alignment with brand and company expectations.
- Safety and Compliance – ensure all safety protocols are followed, including food safety, sanitation standards, proper handling of equipment, and obtain/maintain necessary alcohol service certifications or training required by local/state/company regulations; report safety incidents in a timely fashion.
- Communication – maintain clear and effective communication within the restaurant and with other departments of the hotel.
- Operations – assist with cash handling, knowledge of food and beverage menus, ordering, inventory management; assist with scheduling, time edits, payroll and reporting of gratuities; act as a hands‑on supervisor during staffing and service shortages; troubleshoot and problem‑solve various guest‑service scenarios within the FOH.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and train staff effectively.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation protocols.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain alcohol service certification as required by law.
- Basic cash handling experience preferred.
Must be able to successfully pass a background check as it relates to the job responsibilities for this position.
