Job summary

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort in Saint Simons Island, GA is seeking a hands-on Food and Beverage Manager to lead our evolving dining experiences during a transformative renovation and repositioning.

Reporting to the Assistant Food and Beverage Director, you will oversee the daily operation of an assigned outlet, coach the team, coordinate with culinary leadership, and ensure guests enjoy attentive, timely hospitality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Food & Beverage with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong communication, organization, problem solving and follow-through.
• Experience overseeing service, staffing, scheduling, and guest recovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead opening, closing, service readiness, and daily operations within the outlet.
• Maintain a visible presence during service and provide hands-on support.
• Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop outlet team members.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, assign stations and adjust coverage.
• Partner with culinary leaders to support food quality and timing.
• Monitor guest feedback and respond with urgency and care.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, labor deployment, inventory, and cash handling.
• Maintain standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and outlet presentation.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance feedback.
• Be cross-trained and provide management coverage across outlets as needed.
• Serve as Food & Beverage manager on duty when assigned.

Job description

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort is entering an exciting new era. As the resort undergoes a transformative renovation and repositioning, we are seeking a hands‑on Food and Beverage Manager to help lead our evolving dining experiences.

Reporting to the Assistant Food and Beverage Director, this position will lead the daily operation of an assigned outlet and ensure that guests and members receive attentive, timely, and gracious hospitality. Although the manager will have a primary outlet assignment, they will also be cross‑trained and expected to provide leadership and operational support throughout the resort’s Food & Beverage operation as business needs change.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or emerging manager who is ready to take ownership of an outlet while developing the skills needed for broader Food and Beverage leadership.

What You Will Do

• Lead opening, closing, service readiness, and daily operations within the assigned outlet.

• Maintain a visible presence during service and provide hands‑on support to the team.

• Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop outlet team members.

• Conduct pre‑shift meetings, assign stations and side work, coordinate breaks, and adjust coverage as needed.

• Partner with culinary leaders to support food quality, presentation, timing, menu availability, and kitchen‑service communication.

• Monitor guest and member feedback and respond to concerns with urgency, sound judgment, and genuine care.

• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, labor deployment, inventory, cash handling, point‑of‑sale procedures, and other outlet controls.

• Maintain standards for cleanliness, sanitation, organization, equipment care, and overall outlet presentation.

• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, performance feedback, recognition, and corrective action.

• Become cross‑trained throughout the resort’s Food & Beverage operation and provide management coverage in other outlets when requested.

• Serve as the Food & Beverage manager on duty when assigned.

• Help build a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, pride, teamwork, and genuine care.

What You Will Bring

• Two or more years of Food & Beverage experience in a hotel, resort, private club, restaurant, banquet, or comparable hospitality environment.

• At least one year of supervisory, shift‑lead, or management experience.

• Working knowledge of restaurant or banquet service, staffing, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, service standards, and guest recovery.

• The ability to lead, train, coach, and hold team members accountable in a respectful and constructive manner.

• Strong communication, organization, problem‑solving, and follow‑through skills.

• Basic knowledge of labor management, inventory, cash handling, cost controls, productivity, and waste reduction.

• Comfort using point‑of‑sale, scheduling, reservations, inventory, and other hospitality operating systems.

• The flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs.

• Food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications, or the ability to obtain required certifications within the designated timeframe.

• A hospitality‑related degree is preferred, but not required. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
