Job summary

CoffeeCo is seeking a friendly Cashier/Barista to join our team in Lancaster. You will manage transactions at the cash register and prepare a variety of beverages, delivering consistent quality and service in a fast-paced environment.

You will greet customers, answer questions about menu items, upsell products, and handle cash with accuracy using the POS system. You’ll also keep the work area clean, stock supplies, and follow health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or food and beverage role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic math skills and experience with cash handling and POS systems.
• A passion for coffee and beverages, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:

• Barista Duties:
• • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company recipes and standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation techniques and stay updated on new products and offerings.
  • Ensure that all beverages are prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Cashier Duties:
• • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity.
  • Directing customers to the correct location based on the nature of their visit.
• Operational Tasks:
• • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including the cashier counter, beverage preparation area, and customer seating.
  • Stock supplies and ingredients as needed, and notify management of low inventory levels.
