TenGoku Aburiya is one of the hottest Izakaya-style restaurants in Chicago, sister restaurant of Michelin recognized Omakase Yume. We aim to create a welcoming environment serving a wide variety of drinks and small dishes to enjoy in our space. We are looking for Front of House staff excited to learn about Japanese cuisine and the art of hospitality.

We are currently searching for a Front of House staff member to support our lunch and dinner service operations. We seek enthusiastic, attentive, and team-oriented individuals to join our team. Whether you're an experienced server or looking to grow into hospitality through bussing and support roles, we welcome passionate candidates eager to be part of a service-driven team. Your attentiveness, knowledge, and passion for hospitality will contribute significantly to TenGoku's success.

What we are looking for:

1. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
2. A warm, guest-first attitude with strong communication skills
3. Ability to work well in a team environment and support all FOH functions
4. Interest in Japanese cuisine and culture is a plus
5. Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive attitude are essential

Qualified candidates MUST possess:

1. Previous experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant is preferred
2. Passion for providing outstanding customer service
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests
4. Knowledge of our food and drink menu (ingredients, taste, pairings, dietary restrictions, etc.)
5. Attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
6. Ability to move, carry, and lift up to at least 35 pounds
