Job summary

Pick & Cheese at Shaver Food Hall in New York, NY is hiring Front-of-House Team Members to guide guests through our conveyor-belt concept, share knowledge of British cheeses, and deliver warm, personal hospitality.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, handle orders with the EPOS system, maintain station cleanliness, and learn about cheese provenance while providing excellent guest experiences. Medical insurance and 401(k) eligibility are offered to eligible hourly team members.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ restaurant experience required.
• Basic wine knowledge and general food & beverage knowledge.
• Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with empathy and guide guests through the conveyor-belt concept.
• Maintain station and area appearance to the highest standard.
• Set up restaurant layout and manage reservations/queues to fill tables and minimize wait times.
• Operate the EPOS system, take orders, process bills, and handle requests.
• Ensure high hygiene standards and safety practices throughout the shift.
