FOH SERVER / CASHIER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOH Server / Cashier may work as a Cashier, Expeditor, and/or Greeter. The role involves maintaining a high level of customer service, showing pride of ownership, and a sense of urgency to delight guests. The individual enthusiastically greets guests with a warm, genuine welcome and consistently adheres to high service standards.

Responsibilities include:

1. Demonstrating strong understanding of the menu, including recipes, allergens, dietary restrictions, and workarounds.
2. Processing guest orders in person or by phone using the POS system, handling cash and credit/debit transactions accurately while maintaining proper register dialogue.
3. Following all cash handling procedures, including fraud protection, and properly managing cash drawers.
4. Presents food to guests, circulates the dining room for service opportunities, pre-busses, busses tables, and greets guests entering, waiting in line, or leaving the restaurant.
5. Maintaining cleanliness of floors, buses, dishes, bathrooms, and windows.
6. Processing guest orders at the register, pouring beverages, answering menu questions, and keeping the front area organized.
7. Restocking the ice bin, drying and cleaning tumblers and glassware.
8. Communicating regularly with guests and team members across stations (BOH and FOH) to ensure optimal service levels.
9. Performing other tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

1. Strong customer service skills and personality.
2. Prior experience in a customer service or restaurant environment preferred.
3. The ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
4. Reliable transportation and punctuality, with a positive attendance record.
5. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
6. Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with coworkers.
7. Current Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate.

Previous Experience
