Riverwards in Philadelphia seeks a front-of-house/retail associate to greet customers, assist with daily tasks, and keep the store clean and organized. You will rotate stock, merchandise products, and assist with checkout to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately and provide correct change.
• Notify Manager on Duty about missing or inaccurate items.
• Restock bags, promotional items, and communicate supply needs.
• Maintain knowledge of store layout and product locations.
• Keep the market clean and orderly; sweep and unload shipments when needed.

Job description

Reports to: Front of House Manager

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide helpful information
• Complete the list of tasks associated with the shift worked (refer to shift task lists)
• During non-customer facing time, front and restock the sales floor throughout the day
• Use effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking and merchandising product
• Accurately process all transactions by entering all items correctly, and making correct change for customers
• Notify Manager on Duty when items are not listed in the product inventory, or seem inaccurate
• Restock bags, promotional items and change as necessary; communicate supply needs in a timely fashion
• Maintain working knowledge of the layout of the store, products offered, and where to find them
• Ensure the market appears clean and orderly by cleaning up messes, breaking down boxes, sweeping, and helping unload shipments when necessary

Requirements:

• A desire to greet and engage customers, and foster relationships with regulars
• A positive attitude, and an enthusiastic desire to provide storewide customer service
• Aptitude for making correct change, and quickly and accurately ringing up orders
• A team player with a willingness to jump in and help with all tasksAbility to roll with the punches of a rapidly growing start-up business
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and withstand prolonged periods of standing/operating a cash register

COMPENSATION:
