Qualifications

• Must pass DOT drug screen.
• Valid driver license and clean driving record over 3 years.
• Meet company driving standards and fleet safety policy.
• Work independently in absence of supervision.
• Follow work orders and written instructions.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and management.
• Communicate clearly with all levels of staff.
• Knowledge of safe work practices.
• Weekend shifts able to work.
• Class B CDL license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent and two years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate front load garbage truck to collect trash and recycle containers from commercial accounts on weekday routes.
• Ensure accounts are serviced quickly without leaving any messes.
• Unload at recycle center or landfill and perform clean out procedures of refuse body after dumping.
• Occasionally perform minor container maintenance on route.
• Communicate customer needs and issues to office and sales departments.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report defects to shop coordinator.
• Bi-weekly maintenance on lift arms and daily maintenance on dumper.
