Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Los Angeles to oversee shipping and receiving operations for a specific shift, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely processing of inbound and outbound product. You will lead front-line associates, enforce company policies, and coordinate with inventory control and transportation teams.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to read reports in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and supervises shipping/receiving associates.
• Ensures accuracy of shipments and receipts using proper systems.
• Maintains daily production and accuracy records.
• Processes store returns and vendor returns per policy.
• Coordinates with Inventory Control on slotting and space allocation.
• Conducts daily crew meetings on safety, productivity, and accuracy.
• Communicates with Transportation on backhaul flow and receipt.
• Schedules inbound load appointments.
• Monitors safety, sanitation and pest control compliance.
• Optimizes use of equipment and personnel for efficiency.
• Builds good cross-department relationships.
