International Paper in Reading, PA is seeking a Front Line Leader to supervise on a salaried full-time shift. The position may transition to night shift as needed, with emphasis on safe and efficient operations.

You will lead crews, perform daily rounds, ensure safety and housekeeping compliance, investigate incidents, and maintain payroll, timekeeping and equipment logs. The role offers a pay range of $82,500 to $110,000 and comprehensive benefits; preferred candidates have 3–5 years of

Position Title: Front Line Leader

Pay Rate: $82,500- $110,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

Physical Location: 720 Laurel Street, Reading, PA 19602

The Job You Will Perform

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of their assigned shift. This position will at some point be required to take a Shift Supervisor position that may include the night shift

  • Provide relief coverage for counterpart supervisors on various shifts, as needed.
  • Direct and supervise crew.
  • Perform daily rounds to ensure that all equipment is safe and operational
  • Ensure that all safety and housekeeping items are completed and addressed, as needed.
  • Carry out preliminary Incident and Accident Investigations.
  • Ensure that payroll and timekeeping records are complete and accurate.
  • Monitor the accuracy of forklift checklists and ensure completion. Follow up on items that need to be addressed.
  • Daily record and monitor the gas meter readings.
  • Collect, review and file back tender log sheets.
  • Maintain daily logbook.
  • Ensure that all company policy and procedures are followed and understood.
  • Participate in mill shutdown activities, when scheduled.
  • Ensure that team safety training is up to date.
  • Maintain operator tool inventory.
  • Ensure that job qualification sheet is maintained.
The Skills You Will Bring
  • The qualified individual must have three to five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. This experience will include direct supervision or team management.
  • Engineering background is a plus

  • Must be always alert and aware.
  • Comfortable with high heat areas/extreme cold areas.
  • Stand/Walk/Sit/Push /Pull/Climb/Crawl/Squat/Kneel/Bend
  • Lift/Carry-Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
