Job summary

Protingent Staffing is seeking a Front-End Infrastructure Engineer for a contract role in Austin, TX. The engineer will focus on FE flows, regression management, and tool deployment across Synopsys VCS/IES environments, collaborating with EDA vendors to maintain robust verification pipelines.

The role requires extensive experience with FE design verification, regression debugging, and RTL architecture tools, with strong version control using Git and Perforce.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or 8+ years with a Master’s, or 6+ years with a PhD.
• Proven experience in design verification flows and CAD infrastructure for large-scale FE projects.
• Expertise in flow-based regression management with debugging regression and coverage issues.
• Familiarity with Synopsys VCS, IES, and RTL architecture tools; hands-on xprop configuration.
• Advanced knowledge of Git, Perforce, and Git-P4 interfaces, for versioning workflows.

Responsibilities

• Development & Maintenance of Verification Flows: design, support, and continuously improve complex verification flows.
• Collaborate on flow-based regression tools and maintain them to meet project demands.
• Regression Management & Triage: lead regression systems, troubleshoot coverage and regression issues.
• EDA Tool & Vendor Management: coordinate with Synopsys vendors to resolve issues and stay updated on new developments.
• RTL Architecture Tool Deployment & Support: deploy tools for RTL Architecture and ensure integration with FE flows.
• Version Control Expertise: leverage Git and Perforce for robust workflows.
