Job summary

Total Wine & More in Charleston, SC is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver fast, accurate checkout and helpful service. You will process transactions, answer questions, promote the loyalty program, and ensure customers leave the store with a positive impression.

This role may also involve serving as a sales associate or merchandiser and requires reliability, flexibility for evenings/weekends, and basic knowledge of POS systems and inventory software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and teamwork.
• 1–3 years of work experience, retail experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including ID verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting the loyalty program, and bagging products.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers and informing them about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
