Job summary

Food City is seeking a front-end supervisor to oversee cashier staff, courtesy clerks, and fuel associates in a fast-paced retail environment. You will enforce cash handling procedures, maintain safety and security of funds, and promote courteous customer service.

The role emphasizes adherence to company policies, shift coverage, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for customers in the store. On-site work and physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical and mental demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain efficient and courteous service to customers at all times to ensure that “No more than two customers waiting in line” policy is always followed.
• Supervise and monitor the total functions of the front end.
• Supervise and monitor all cashiers, courtesy clerks, and fuel associates.
• Maintain security of safe and change funds.
• Know, follow, and enforce all company policies regarding child labor laws.
