Job summary

Ausenco's US team in Tucson is seeking a Study Manager to lead front-end development of capital projects in the Minerals & Metals space.

You will oversee initiation, planning, and conceptual phases, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and ensuring governance, safety, and client alignment. The role requires 10+ years in mining or heavy industry, a degree in engineering, PMP, and willingness to travel. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
10+ years of relevant experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial sectors.
Strong leadership and client-facing skills.
Experience with stage-gated project development and early-phase planning.
Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution of early-phase studies (scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility).
Develop and manage study scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Coordinate inputs from engineering, environmental, commercial, and stakeholder teams.
Engage with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments, trade-off evaluations, and value engineering processes.
Support bid strategies and client presentations.
Support growth of the regional portfolio and study delivery capabilities.
Lead and coordinate NI 43-101 reporting.
