Job summary

Eataly is seeking a Front End Specialist to assist in day-to-day storefront cashier operations. Reports to the Front End Manager and supports monetary transactions, approvals, and daily cash handling.

Qualifications include 2+ years in retail, math accuracy, and basic computer skills. Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including weekends, is required. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a retail setting.
• Ability to handle money accurately and perform mathematical calculations.
• Intermediate computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handles monetary transactions and performs advanced cashiering duties.
• Approves voids, employee discounts, returns and exchanges.
• Processes and settles daily cash and credit transactions.
• Documents and communicates overages, shortages, sales data and discrepancies to managers.
• Monitors currency orders to ensure cash availability for transactions.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Job Description

The Front End Specialist assists in the day-to-day Front End and cashier operations of the store. Reports to the Front End Manager.

• Handles monetary transactions and performs advanced cashiering duties
• Approves voids, employee discounts, returns and exchanges
• Processes and settles daily cash and credit transactions
• Documents and communicates overages, shortages, sales data and technical or price discrepancies, communicating issues to the appropriate managers and departments
• Processes and monitors currency orders to ensure that cash is always available for transactions
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a retail setting
• Ability to handle money accurately and perform mathematical calculations
• Intermediate computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation: pay range is set at $21 - $22 an hour.

Please note as we go into the holiday season, most position will come in as a seasonal to start of for the first 3 months.
