Job summary

Eataly Chicago is seeking a Front End Lead for a full-time, on-site role. You will supervise cashiers, manage cash handling, mentor staff, and coordinate online orders to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

The position requires supervisory retail experience, basic math proficiency, and solid computer skills including MS Office. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role at Eataly Chicago.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Front End Lead (Full-Time) - Eataly Chicago

The Front End Lead serves as the liaison between staff and management to ensure the department is fully functional. The Front-End Lead delegates to, motivates, trains and mentors Front End Cashiers to promote their development. Reports to theDry Market Manager.

• Handles monetary transactions and performs advanced cashiering duties
• Assists in supervising the Front-End team to ensure optimal performance and guest experience
• Approves voids, employee discounts, returns and exchanges
• Processes and settles daily cash and credit transactions for all departments
• Processes and prepares shipment of daily cash deposits
• Documents and communicates overages, shortages, sales data and technical or price discrepancies, communicating issues to the appropriate managers and departments
• Processes and monitors currency orders to ensure that cash is always available for transactions
• Maintains an accurate safe count along with daily operation and maintenance of a cash recycling machine
• Orders and monitors inventory of supplies needed for the Front End
• Documents, investigates, escalates andresolves employee or guest incidents
• Handles online order fulfillment and delivery coordination using existing platforms
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
  • 1+ year of experience as a supervisor in a retail setting, with experience leading a cashier team preferred
  • Abilityto handle money accurately and perform mathematical equations
  • Intermediate computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation

• Compensation for this position is USD $22.00-$24.00 hourly
