Riverstone Enterprise Solutions, an Envision Company, seeks a Senior Front End Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD to lead UI/frontend development and mentor the team. You will implement scalable interfaces, ensure accessibility, and collaborate with backend engineers to design integrated APIs.

The role emphasizes fullstack contributions, frontend standards, and performance optimization across browsers, with a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years’ experience as a SWE in programs of similar scope is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Seven (7) years' experience in Software Database and Repository Interface Development.
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Fullstack experience including backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, RESTful/GraphQL).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GovCloud).

We are seeking a motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused Senior Front End Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/frontend developers, providing technical guidance, standards, and code review

Architect and implement scalable, maintainable front-end solutions using modern frameworks.

• Translate prototypes and design specifications into functional, responsive, and accessible interfaces
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs, ensuring efficient data flow between frontend and backend systems
• Contribute to fullstack development efforts as needed, including backend services, database interactions, and deployment pipelines
• Establish and enforce frontend coding standards, best practices, and component reuse across the team
• Partner with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, crossbrowser issues, and technical debt
• Participate in sprint planning, technical estimation, and architectural decisionmaking
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG) throughout development

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Twelve (12) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Seven (7) years' experience in Software Database and Repository Interface Development

• Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Fullstack experience, including backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, RESTful/GraphQL API design)
• Familiarity with version control (Git) CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud is a plus)

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

• Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
