Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is hiring for a Front End/Cashier role at our Texas stores. You will perform cashier and customer service tasks, ensure shelves are stocked, and maintain a clean, friendly shopping experience for the local community.

You will handle checkout totals, assist customers, and support store operations while adhering to safety policies and company standards. This role requires flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided.
• Minimum age 18 for partners operating select machinery.
• Partners must be 21+ to drive for Company business per policy.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Fuel Operator C certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items; maintain register cash count.
• Enforce quality control and food safety; ensure dated products are stocked and rotated; verify prices; monitor reorders.
• Unload trucks and place delivered items in designated areas.
• Stay current on tender policies (checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML, etc.).
• Provide friendly, customer-focused service; help customers locate products and answer questions.
• Notify management of opportunities for process improvement.
• Maintain fuel station by inspecting pumps per company standards.
• Keep the store environment clean, safe, and sanitary per procedures.
