Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a part-time Service Specialist at the Merkel, TX location. The role focuses on front-end cashier duties, providing a friendly shopping experience, accurate checkout, and proper stocking.

You will support customers, ensure products are rotated, and help maintain a clean store environment. You will operate the register, assist with product searches, and participate in safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Typical on-the-job training for front-end roles.
• Must be at least 18 years old for machinery operation.
• 21+ for Company driving under policy.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Fuel Operator C certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe front-end area.
• Assist customers with locating products and answering questions.
• Unload deliveries and stock designated areas.
• Adhere to safety and food safety standards and report hazards.
