Job summary

ShopRite of Mount Pocono is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented associate to deliver excellent customer service at the checkout and throughout the store. You will scan, price and bag items, collect payments and provide correct change while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

The role requires ability to read and speak English, basic math, and the stamina to stand for long shifts. You will work with a team to keep shelves stocked and customers satisfied.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Able to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Able to work with fresh, dried and processed products.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to interact with customers in a helpful way.
• Able to work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Enter customer information for eligibility in Wakefern programs.
• Know products carried in the store and assist customers.
• Sort and return items to stock, prioritize refrigerated/perishable goods.
• Perform price checks and process payments accurately.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and protect cash integrity.
• Follow front-end procedures and company policies.
