Job summary

ShopRite of Mount Pocono in Mt. Pocono, PA, is hiring a front-end associate to deliver a great customer experience. You will scan, price, bag products, collect payment, and assist customers with inquiries while following store policies.

You will maintain a safe, clean workspace and be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and work with other associates. Training emphasizes safety, friendliness, presentation, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work with products and powders without allergic reactions.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Able to work cooperatively with others.
• Able to adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Enter customer information for eligibility of programs.
• Understand cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledgable about products in the store.
• Sort and return items to stock with attention to perishables.
• Handle damaged merchandise per procedures.
• Perform price checks as needed.
• Answer phones and direct inquiries per policy.
• Follow QA, safety, and department policies.
• Dress and groom per company policy and wear required uniform.
