Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer service-oriented associate in Oregon to assist with department management and maximize financial opportunities. You will model our core values and support managers in their absence, while coaching cashiers and ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent service, handling checkout duties when needed, and maintaining safety and policy compliance in a fast-paced store environment. Weekend work and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age (19 in some states)
• Able to pass drug test
• Prior cashier or retail experience preferred
• Ability to work weekends regularly
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• CPR/first aid certification desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Assist with department management and ensure operational standards
• Provide peer coaching for cashiers
• Maintain compliance with policies, safety guidelines, and labor agreements
• Handle cashier functions during peak times or absence of managers
• Monitor schedules and execute company initiatives
• Respond to customer feedback and handle complaints
• Complete incident reports as needed
• Create an inviting store environment in line with company values
• Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
