Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months cashier experience.
• Ability to pass drug screening.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts.
• Strong math and cash handling accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at the register.
• Perform cashier duties: open/close register, ring sales, process payments, bag merchandise.
• Maintain checkout area cleanliness and organize checkstand.
• Answer phones and assist customers.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders and gift cards.
• Provide lottery services at the desk and license assistance.
• Verify EAS tags are deactivated and respond to pedestal activations.
• Promote company initiatives and follow corporate policies.
• Complete file maintenance log for price discrepancies.
• Maintain store accounting functions.
• Prepare bank deposits of excess funds.
• Open and close the customer service desk and manage related tasks.
• Run vendor reports and assist with miscellaneous duties.
