Job summary

Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, is seeking a Front End Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will assist in the medication dispensing process, ensuring accuracy and superior customer service in a closed-door pharmacy.

In this role you triage requests, verify dosages, review narcotics workflows, and communicate critical information to the pharmacist. A valid pharmacy technician license and 1+ year experience are required.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Preferred: prior experience in the long-term care industry.

Responsibilities

• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required.
• Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Reviewing narcotic Rx’s to ensure timely processing.
• Providing dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies, drug interactions, and other flagged items.
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer records.
