Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to operate front-end can manufacturing equipment and ensure safe, efficient production. You will work with coil handling machines, cupping press, body makers, trimmers, and baler on a daily basis while adhering to all safety procedures.

This on-site role requires strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of US measurement, and the ability to read reports and use precision tools.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
• US measurement basics.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
• Problems solving and debugging of equipment.
• Troubleshoot machinery when out of specification.
• Ability to organize own work.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end manufacturing equipment such as coil handling machines, cupping press, body makers, trimmers, and baler.
• Read and follow safety SOPs, lockout/tagout, PPE and housekeeping requirements.
• Rebuild, repair, or overhaul front-end equipment as needed.
• Modify, install, or repair equipment and components, including large presses and dies.
• Diagnose, adjust, and set up assigned equipment.
• Inspect using precision tools before, during, and after work.
• Set up and test equipment under power to trace mechanical issues.
• Maintain and lubricate machines to keep operations running smoothly.
