Job summary

GFT Ready Mix in Arizona is seeking a reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to support daily plant operations, production, and maintenance. The role involves safely operating heavy equipment, moving materials, and helping keep the plant organized.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work outdoors in varying weather. Valid driver’s license and 1+ year of experience with front-end loaders or similar equipment are required; two+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• 1+ year of experience operating front-end loaders or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience in ready-mix/aggregate/mining/construction environment preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically demanding work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment safely.
• Load, move, stockpile, and unload materials.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections and report issues.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Support plant operations and production activities.
• Keep plant, yard, and washout areas clean and organized.
• Support production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Follow safety policies and supervisor instructions.
• Communicate with plant personnel, drivers, and supervisors.
• Perform general labor as needed.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
