Job summary

Branscome is seeking a Loader Operator for its Asphalt Plants in New Kent, VA. You will operate a front-end loader to excavate and load materials from stockpiles, bring materials to bins for asphalt production, and load trucks, while performing basic maintenance and safety checks.

The role requires 3–5 years of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma (preferred), willingness to travel between Branscome plants, and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability in fast-paced

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience operating a front-end loader or other heavy equipment.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Willingness to travel between Branscome plants as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader to load materials from stockpiles and move to bins for asphalt production.
• Load material from stockpiles into dump trucks and to other processing areas.
• Use various hand tools and assist with basic plant maintenance.
• Oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Maintain yard and monitor activities on site.
• Travel to and from Branscome plants as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Major Role and Purpose

• Operates front-end loader, excavates and loads materials to and from stockpiles.

Description of Duties

• Loads material from stockpiles to appropriate bins for asphaltproduction.
• Loads material into Dump Trucks.
• Uses various hand tools.
• Basic mechanical skills to assist with plant maintenance.
• Oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Yard maintenance.
• Travel to and from the different plants.
• Monitors the activity within the site.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

Education

• High School DiplomaPreferred.

Work Experience

• 3-5 Years operating a front-end loader / various heavy equipment.
