Job summary

Branscome is seeking a Loader Operator at its Suffolk, VA asphalt plant to operate a front-end loader, excavate and load materials from stockpiles, and move material to bins and dump trucks. Candidates should have 3–5 years of heavy equipment experience, a High School Diploma preferred, and a strong commitment to safety.

The job also covers basic maintenance, yard upkeep, and travel between Branscome sites while supporting plant operations.

Reports to: Plant Manager / Yard Foreman

Major Role and Purpose

• Operates front-end loader, excavates and loads materials to and from stockpiles.

Description of Duties

• Loads material from stockpiles to appropriate bins for asphaltproduction.


• Loads material into Dump Trucks.


• Uses various hand tools.


• Basic mechanical skills to assist with plant maintenance.


• Oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.


• Yard maintenance.


• Travel to and from the different plants.


• Monitors the activity within the site.


• Follow all safety policies and procedures.


• Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

Education:

• High School DiplomaPreferred.

Work Experience:

• 3-5 Years operating a front-end loader / various heavy equipment.
