Job summary

Branscome is seeking a Loader Operator- Manufacturing at our New Kent, VA asphalt plants facility. The role operates a front-end loader, loads stockpiles, and supports yard operations to keep production flowing.

You will travel between plants, follow safety policies, assist with basic maintenance, and cooperate with the Plant Manager and Yard Foreman to meet project demands. A high school diploma is preferred, with 3-5 years of loader experience required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years operating a front-end loader or heavy equipment.
• Experience reading stockpile layouts and loading materials accurately.
• Ability to follow safety policies and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader to excavate and load materials to stockpiles.
• Load material from stockpiles to bins for asphalt production.
• Load material into Dump Trucks and assist with plant maintenance.
• Travel between Branscome plants and monitor site activity.

Department: Asphalt Plants

Reports to: Plant Manager / Yard Foreman

Major Role and Purpose:

• Operates front-end loader, excavates and loads materials to and from stockpiles.
• Loads material from stockpiles to appropriate bins for asphaltproduction.
• Loads material into Dump Trucks.
• Uses various hand tools.
• Basic mechanical skills to assist with plant maintenance.
• Oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Yard maintenance.
• Travel to and from the different plants.
• Monitors the activity within the site.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

Education:

• High School DiplomaPreferred.

Work Experience:

• 3-5 Years operating a front-end loader / various heavy equipment.
