Job summary

Highland Pellets is seeking a Loader to operate front-end loader equipment, move bulk materials to various processing areas, and load trucks or railcars. You will perform basic preventative maintenance, ensure correct material blending, and keep work areas clean and safe.

The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of heavy equipment experience, 1 year in-plant manufacturing, and pass both written and field loader training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of heavy equipment experience.
• One year of in-plant manufacturing experience.
• Must complete written and field training for loader.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operates loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas.
• Feeds conveyors, hoppers, or chutes and loads trucks or railcars.
• Performs all items on preventative maintenance sheets at the start of each shift.
• Maintains clean work areas around bins, belts, and ramps to limit contamination.
