Job summary

U.S. Silica is seeking a Loader Operator II to operate and maintain front-end loader equipment and transport bulk materials across storage and processing areas. You will feed conveyors, hoppers, and trucks while upholding safety standards and efficient operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of loader experience. Candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance and work outdoors in all seasons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s license is required.
• Experience operating similar equipment (3+ years) is required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and equipment is needed.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions with discipline.
• Willingness to work in outside conditions year-round.
• MSHA knowledge and forklift/warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate loader and move bucket to lift and transport bulk materials.
• Drive front-end loader to feed conveyors, hoppers, or load trucks/railcars.
• Perform routine loader maintenance, lubrication, fueling, and cleaning.
• Ensure equipment is properly cared for and maintained.
• Promote safety and environmental practices at work.
• Inspect vehicles and perform basic checks like oil, water, and tires.
• Inspect lifts prior to use and perform other tasks as assigned.
