Job summary

Food Lion in Valdese, NC, is seeking a Front End associate to deliver fast, friendly service while greeting customers by name and maintaining accurate front end operations. You will assist the Customer Service Manager and ensure the MVP savings center functions properly, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

The role requires effective communication, willingness to learn multiple tasks, and adherence to store guidelines.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
Greet each customer and use his or her name whenever possible.
Ensure front end operations are accurate and timely using accounting packets and report cash variances.
Maintain knowledge of office procedures including cash reports, deposits and related services.
Ensure the front end area is neat and clean with proper presentation.
Assist with register functions and front end accounting services as needed.
Notify managers of any register issues and ensure MVP savings center is functional.
Perform sales associate duties when scheduled or per surge plan guidelines.
Support customer service standards and be courteous to colleagues.
Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge and maintain neat appearance.
