Job summary

Luke's Local Grocery is seeking a Cashier Shift Lead to oversee the Cashier team and support Store Leadership in maintaining outstanding customer service and retail standards. You will act as a leadership presence and PIC on the floor, often opening and closing the store, while supervising front-end operations and assisting with stocking and displays.

The role emphasizes a positive attitude, teamwork, and a willingness to learn, with responsibilities across deli service, checkout, and guest

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably grocery, and customer service.
• Willingness to train and work in other store areas as needed.
• Must be 18 years or older and proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Floor Supervisor to supervise employees and assign duties.
• Oversee cash register operations and front-end activities.
• Ensure excellent customer service and hospitality standards.
• Assist with training new and current staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits.
• Lead as PIC and open/close the store when required.
