Job summary

Weis Markets in Dundalk, MD is seeking a friendly Retail Associate to greet customers, answer questions, and help resolve concerns in a polite, professional manner.

You will operate the front-end register, bag merchandise, and process payments while following store policies, including tobacco/alcohol guidelines. Maintain a clean, safe workspace and work with teammates to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and resolve inquiries in a polite, professional manner.
• Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash register, bag items and assist customers at checkout.
• Maintain accuracy during transactions and proper cash handling, including payments and coupons, following tobacco/alcohol sale rules.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions and store layout to assist customers.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation, follow health and OSHA requirements, dispose of trash properly.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department/store operation and PPE usage.
