Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions; resolve concerns in a polite, professional manner.
• Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash register; bag merchandise and assist customers at checkout.
• Ensure accurate transactions and collect payments; follow cash handling and security procedures; comply with tobacco/alcohol sales laws.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions and store layout to assist customers.
• Maintain sanitation in the department; follow cleaning schedules and health/OSHA guidelines; dispose of trash properly.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to keep department and store running smoothly.
• Follow PPE requirements (gloves, safety cutters, footwear, etc.) and assist in other departments as needed.
