Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Directs the flow of customers through the Front End, ensuring sufficient checkouts are open to minimize wait times.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns in a polite and professional manner.
• Enforces cash control procedures and assists cashiers with transactions, refunds, and price checks.
• Monitors cashier performance and assists with training to maintain productivity and accuracy.
• Operates front-end scanning equipment and registers, handling bags and merchandise placement.
• Answers phone calls with a positive attitude and uses intercom for announcements as needed.
• Maintains transaction accuracy and proper cash drawer accounting, following tobacco and alcohol guidelines.
• Keeps knowledge of weekly ads and promotions to answer customer questions.
• Performs general sanitation and adheres to health and OSHA requirements.
• Cooperates with team members to ensure smooth department and store operation.
• Utilizes PPE provided by the company, including gloves, safety cutters, and footwear.
