About The Role

We are looking for a Front-End Engineer to join our remote team in the U.S. This role reports directly to the Director of Technology and is central to the success of our digital platforms, especially those built on WordPress.

As a key member of the development team, you will focus on delivering responsive, accessible, and visually compelling web experiences. You will collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and stakeholders to translate vision into reality while ensuring optimal performance and usability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive front-end applications with a focus on WordPress-based platforms
• Translate UI/UX mockups into clean, scalable, and accessible code using HTML, CSS, PHP (Timber/Twig), JavaScript, and modern frameworks
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to align with branding and user needs
• Integrate third-party APIs and dynamic content into WordPress environments
• Ensure all digital experiences meet cross-browser compatibility, accessibility standards, and performance benchmarks
• Participate in code reviews, agile sprints, and continuous integration efforts
• Stay updated on evolving technologies and apply best practices to enhance digital user experiences
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in front-end development with a strong portfolio of responsive web applications
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP (Timber/Twig), and one or more modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
• Solid experience in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote team environment
• Experience working with UI/UX design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Illustrator is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience in digital health or media environments is a bonus

• Track record of delivering high-quality, production-grade websites and applications
• Commitment to accessibility, speed optimization, and industry best practices
