Job summary

Career Developers Inc. is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer on a contract basis to implement WCAG 2.2 AA updates and maintain web applications.

The role is four days onsite in Lawrenceville, NJ with one day remote, combining in-office collaboration with flexible work. You will work with internal developers and external consultants to remediate accessibility issues, develop UI components, and ensure code quality through testing and CI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required.
• 6+ years programming experience with web applications.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG or accessibility best practices.
• Experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Ability to work with internal teams and external consultants.
• Experience in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Remediate accessibility issues across websites and web apps.
• Modify code, templates, and UI components for WCAG compliance.
• Develop, test, and deploy front-end features per standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in agile ceremonies.
• Conduct accessibility testing using automated and manual methods.
