About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Developer specializing in front-end development to join our Electrification Service (ELSE) division in the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces for ABB’s cloud-native SaaS platform. Your work will ensure the delivery of high-performance, reliable, and secure web applications that provide an exceptional user experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to translate requirements into scalable and responsive front-end solutions. This position offers a hybrid work model with 90% remote work and 10% in-person collaboration, primarily based in Cleveland, OH, or Raleigh, NC. You will report directly to the Director of Software Development and play a key role in advancing ABB’s digital offerings to meet the evolving needs of our global customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on SaaS products
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices in a cloud environment, preferably Azure
• Experience with design tools such as Figma and Storybook
• Knowledge of API integration and third-party services (e.g., Postman)
• Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Spanish are a plus

• Design and develop responsive, user‑centric interfaces for ABB’s SaaS platform utilizing Azure services
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back‑end teams to translate requirements into scalable front‑end solutions
• Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and cross‑browser compatibility across various devices
• Maintain and enhance the design language system to ensure visual consistency and branding adherence
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
• Integrate APIs and third‑party services to enable real‑time data visualization and collection
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold high standards of code quality and reliability
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of front‑end development processes, tools, and best practices
