Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company is seeking a customer-focused cashier responsible for scanning items, handling payments and bagging purchases to support fast, friendly checkout and maintain accurate cash handling.

You will engage customers, resolve questions per store guidelines, assist with front-end operations, stock aisle ends, and help train new cashiers while complying with safety and food-handling rules. Candidates must be at least 18, have reliable attendance and pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Scan, bag, and process customer purchases quickly and accurately.
• Handle cash, checks, credit/debit and other payment methods per policy.
• Maintain a clean front-end area and stock front-end products.
• Assist in training new cashiers and support service desk operations.
• Resolve customer issues and escalate to management when needed.
• Follow safety, sanitation and loss-prevention guidelines.
