Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company is seeking a front-end cashier to enhance customer confidence and loyalty by delivering accurate, fast, and courteous service at the checkout. You will scan, bag, and process payments while maintaining register integrity and contributing to a smooth shopping experience.

Responsibilities include operating POS systems, handling multiple tender types, stocking and assisting in cashier training, and upholding safety and compliance standards in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a retail environment.
• Basic computer skills required for online training.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• High standard of integrity and reliability expected.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, courteous checkout and maintain accurate register operations.
• Operate POS and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and other tender types per policy.
• Stock front-end area, assist in training new cashiers and ensure safety and cleanliness.
