Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
• Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register.
• Performs all related check out procedures including bagging merchandise and placing merchandise in customer’s cart.
• Maintains accuracy during the transaction and proper cash handling.
• Follows store policies regarding sale of tobacco and alcohol.
• Maintains knowledge of weekly ads and promotions to answer customer questions.
• Maintains sanitation in the department and adheres to health and OSHA guidelines.
• Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department function.
